A couple of tax seasons ago, we worked with Entrata to create an integration. With many of our other integrations, the process is initiated from within Tax1099.com. Entrata users remain in Entrata. Tax1099.com appears as an i-Frame within the Entrata users tool. Entrata users don’t need to create a Tax1099.com login – we’ll read the Entrata credentials.
In Entrata
In Entrata, go to “Apps” and select “1099-MISC E-file.” Tax1099.com will load in the same browser frame. A page will come up asking for the form type and tax year. Select your form type and tax year, and click Next.
You can work with multiple payers at one time, if you have multiple in your Entrata account.
In the import grid, look for vendors who may have red dots next to their names. Click on the flag column to filter for the red dots. A red dot signifies a formatting issue with that vendor’s data.
If there is data you need to fix, you may want to return to Entrata to do so. It’s a good idea to keep data updated in both systems. You can fix the data in Entrata, and then re-import.
You can also edit data from within Tax1099.com, if you’d like to do so. You can edit each vendor individually, or you can bulk edit. To change the box categories for multiple vendors at one time, select the “Apply to Selected” option. In either case, download the error report for easier reference of the errors.
As you make changes, the system auto-saves. If you exit during the process, you can return to the last set of auto-saved data.
If you’re ready to submit your forms, select the checkbox in the top left corner of the import grid. Then, scroll to the bottom of the page and click “next.”
E-file forms
We schedule all forms to E-file with the IRS on the deadline date, March 31. Up to that date, you may edit your forms. After the scheduled date, you must file a corrected form to make any edits.
We also offer vendor form delivery. We offer USPS mail service for sending forms to recipients. We also offer electronic delivery, with PDF to e-mail or PDF to portal. With our portal service, we keep records of the vendors’ opt-in statuses. This follows the guidelines outlined in IRS Publication 1179. Forms can be downloaded, printed, and mailed from Tax1099.com. You can download, print, and mail recipient form copies from Tax1099.com.
When you e-file with Tax1099.com, you can:
- Integrate with Entrata and other leading accounting software
- File forms/corrected forms year-round
- Access your forms online at any time
